Shelter Guest Move-Out Kits

You can help people as they move out of shelter by providing essentials for their new home. You can make kits or even shop for Shelter Guest Move-Out Kits directly on Amazon. You can also provide home items for people who have recently moved into Palmer Court, a housing complex operated by The Road Home.

Restricted Items

We care about the people we serve and want to reflect that in items we gratefully collect from the community. Some donations like large furniture, used mattresses, and large appliances are better donated to other organizations, as we do not have storage capacity. Federal and health regulations disallow The Road Home from accepting batteries, drugs, weapons, tires, chemicals, mattresses, refrigerators, freezers, broken TVs, washers, or dryers.

We do not have the staff or means to pick up donations. To make alternate arrangements for large donations, please contact [email protected] or 385-351-2389.

Homelessness affects people year round, not just during the holidays. We greatly appreciate your donations throughout the year! To ensure that your generous in-kind donations have the greatest impact, we may share with our many partner agencies.
