Sarah Nielson joined The Road Home as Director of Communications in 2026. She previously served as Public Information Officer for Utah’s Office of Homeless Services, working closely with providers statewide and leading communications on homelessness policy and system coordination. Sarah brings extensive experience in media relations and strategic and crisis communications, with a strong track record of shaping public narratives and leading high-impact campaigns. She is skilled in guiding cross-functional teams and managing complex communications to measurable outcomes. She holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Utah and a certificate in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion from Cornell University.
