Everyday we work to help people on their journey to a permanent and stable home. In 2001, we officially changed our agency name from Travelers’ Aid Society to The Road Home to better reflect that work and population that we serve.
Always innovating to ensure we are best meeting the needs of our guests, in 2005, The Road Home started to practice Housing First. Housing First as a best practice, acknowledges that when people move out of homelessness and into a housing solution, then they are able to focus on pursuing personal goals and improving their quality of life.
Palmer Court, a facility which provides permanent supportive housing options for families and individuals experiencing chronic homelessness opened in 2009.
