In January of 1969, the Travelers’ Aid Society office was established inside of the Greyhound building. ‘The Salt Lake City Travelers Aid Society is one of the highly respected agencies in the United States because of its work in helping people in need. Because of its close working relationship with local police and welfare agencies, its work is being emulated across the nation. Travelers Aid is the advocate of the mobile poor, who cannot be served by other public or private agencies.’
