In 1998 The Road Home began operating the Community Winter Shelter for men in a former celery warehouse in Midvale. In 2010 we transitioned this facility to serve families with children. In 2012 we renovated the building with partners, and in 2015 we opened the new two-story facility. This emergency shelter includes office and communal spaces, dining and cooking facilities, a dorm-style sleeping area, and access for people with disabilities. The Connie Crosby Family Resource Center serves up to 300 people nightly, with onsite case management and on and off site community partners.
While only active clients of our shelter and housing programs are eligible to receive services, we encourage any family or individual in need of emergency assistance to reach out. Specific services are only available to current clients but we are always happy to connect people to the appropriate resource.
The Road Home’s Case Management team works tirelessly to help each individual who turns to us for assistance in identifying and overcoming the barriers causing them to become homeless. Case managers are also vital in connecting clients to community resources that help the individual leave shelter and live successfully in our community.
The Housing Resource Desk is available daily to all guests who are staying in shelter. Case Managers and Housing Locators are available to connect guests with a variety of resources to help support them in obtaining permanent stable housing.
The Road Home partners with a variety of organizations to ensure families and individuals have the tools they need to get back on their feet.
We will hold mail for individuals with no address or access to a PO box that is addressed to 529 West 7300 South, Midvale, UT 84047
