Become a Housing Champion Today

When you join our Housing Champions monthly giving program, you become part of a special group of donors. You change lives by providing critical funding that will help the most vulnerable among us find permanent and stable housing.

Housing Champions make it possible for us to provide assistance and support from the moment an individual or family seeks shelter to the moment they find stability in a home of their own.

When you become a Housing Champion you’ll be helping people like Amanda change their lives and create connections to the community that will last long after our assistance has ended.

Amanda had fled an abusive relationship with her children. With nowhere else to turn, Amanda found refuge at the Midvale Family Resource Center. Our housing team worked with Amanda to find housing assistance and an apartment for herself and her children. Housing Champions helped give Amanda a safe place to live. She was then able to focus on finding a job and setting a budget. She has obtained her GED, has a steady job, and her children are thriving in their new school.

If you prefer to join by phone or email, contact Holly Rogers at 801-819-7294 or email [email protected].

MEET AMANDA

Amanda had fled an abusive relationship with her children. With nowhere else to turn, Amanda found refuge at the Midvale Family Resource Center. Our housing team worked with Amanda to find housing assistance and an apartment for herself and her children. With a safe place to live, Amanda was then able to focus on finding a job and setting a budget. She has obtained her GED, has a steady job, and her children are thriving in their new school.

Amanda has told us how grateful she was to receive support during this challenging time in her life, and sustaining financial support from donors like you.

MEET HENRY

A recently divorced, current conflict veteran, Henry came to our Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) office upon becoming homeless. The SSVF team helped Henry to find emergency shelter at the Men’s Resource Center while he pursued permanent housing.

With his immediate needs met, we were then able to connect Henry to employment and help him to find an affordable one-bedroom apartment for himself and his small dog. With a job and a stable home, now Henry is talking about applying to a local community college to pursue a degree in social work.
