Why Winter Shelter?

Shelter can be life-saving on cold Utah nights. The Road Home operates an additional shelter through the winter months to ensure that no one is left out in the cold. Our Winter Shelter in Midvale provides additional shelter for the many families with children who turn to us for help. We are able to provide emergency shelter and case management services to an 80 families at our Winter Shelter. Combined with our Salt Lake Shelter, we can shelter over 100 families throughout the winter. We are currently able to provide shelter to all the single men and women in need of our help at our Salt Lake Shelter throughout the year.
